# Add a Post-purchase Upsell

# How to Set Up Post-Purchase Upsell
## Overview
Post-Purchase Upsell shows your customer one offer right after they pay, before the Thank You page. If they accept, the product is added to the order they just placed and they only pay the price difference. No second checkout, no re-entering card details.
You can now offer a whole product instead of a single variant. The customer picks their own size or color on the offer page, so one offer covers your full size range.
Available on all plans. Post-Purchase Upsell is in early access and free to use for now.
## When to use it
Offer something that goes with what the customer just bought, for example a screen protector after a phone case, or socks after shoes. A discount of 10–20% usually converts best. If you sell apparel or anything with many variants, select the offer at product level so the customer can choose their size instead of being shown one fixed variant.
## Set Blockify as your post-purchase app
The offer won't appear until Blockify is set as your post-purchase app.
**Step 1:** In your Shopify admin, go to **Settings → Checkout**.
**Step 2:** Scroll to **Post-purchase page** and select **Blockify Checkout**.
## Create the offer
**Step 3:** Open **Blockify Checkout** and click **Post-Purchase Upsell** in the left menu.
**Step 4:** Click **Create offer**. The editor opens with settings on the left and a preview on the right.
**Step 5:** On the **Offer** tab, set **Status** to **Active** and enter a **Name**. The name is internal, customers don't see it.
**Step 6:** Under **Product**, search and select the product you want to offer. Select the product itself to let customers choose their variant, or select one specific variant if you only want to offer that one.
**Step 7:** Choose a **Discount type** (**Percentage** or **Fixed amount**) and enter the value. Leave it empty to offer the product at full price.
**Step 8:** Set the **Condition**. Keep **Always** to show the offer on every eligible order, or add a condition to target by product, order value, customer tag, or country.

## Design the offer page
**Step 9:** Switch to the **Page** tab. The page is made of blocks: progress bar, heading, timer, the product block, price breakdown, and the accept and decline buttons.
**Step 10:** Click a block name to open its settings and edit the text. Text fields have basic formatting: size, bold, italic, alignment, links, and variables.
**Step 11:** Hover over a block and click the eye icon to show or hide it. The progress bar and the timer are hidden by default, turn them on if you want them.
**Step 12:** Check the preview on the right, then click **Save**. The offer starts showing on eligible orders.

## Notes
> **Note:** The post-purchase page only appears for orders paid by **credit card**. It does not appear for COD, wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay), PayPal, or gift cards. This is a Shopify limitation, not an app setting.
> **Note:** Shopify allows one post-purchase app per store. If another app is set, switch it to Blockify Checkout in **Settings → Checkout**.
> **Note:** The preview is a visual mock-up, not your live page, and you can't click inside it. To see the real page, place a test order paid by credit card.
## FAQ
**Q: My offer isn't showing after checkout. Why?** A: Check that Blockify is set as your post-purchase app in **Settings → Checkout**, that the offer **Status** is **Active**, and that the test order was paid by credit card.
**Q: Why don't I see a size dropdown on the offer page?** A: The dropdown only appears when the offer is set at product level and the product has more than one variant in stock. If you selected a single variant, the customer sees that variant only.
**Q: Where is the countdown timer?** A: The timer and the progress bar are hidden by default. Turn them on with the eye icon on the **Page** tab.
**Q: Does the customer pay or enter their card again?** A: No. The product is added to the same order and only the price difference is charged to the card on file.
**Q: Can I show more than one offer per order?** A: One offer shows per order. You can create several offers with different conditions, and the matching one is shown.
**Q: Can I translate the offer page?** A: Not yet. The page uses the text you type in, in one language.
