# Allow Same-Variant Exchange at Current Price

## Overview 

In Synctrack Returns, merchant can set up exchange advance rules to optimize the exchange workflow. The **“Allow Same-Variant Exchange at Current Price”** feature allows the system to apply the current price of the exchange product so that pricing remains consistent with merchant's store.

## How to enable Reserve stock on request for exchange?
### Go to Settings > Configuration 
* Tick checkbox "Allow Same-Variant Exchange at Current Price" 
* Click "Save"

## How it works?
When exchanging for the same variant, the system uses the current product price instead of the original order price and recalculates any difference.
Assume:
* When Purchasing: Product A has the original price $693.45 
* When Returning: Product A has been updated to the new price $760.00
