# Create a new service

Every D: Rental Booking Apppointment service is linked to one Shopify product. Pricing, inventory, checkout flow, and order management all sync through the linked product.

## Step 1 — Start creating a Service

Go to **Service** → click **+ Add service** in the top right.

Choose **Rental service** or **Workshop service**.

## Step 2 — Pick a product in the Add product popup

The **Add product** popup opens with a search bar.

1. Enter the name of the Shopify product you want to link.
2. Click the product in the results.
3. Choose **all variants** or tick specific variants.
4. Click **Add**.

The app takes you to the service configuration page.

## Rule: 1 variant belongs to only 1 Service

Each Shopify variant can be linked to **only one service**. If you try to tick a variant already used by another service, the app shows a warning.

## Edit the linked product / variants

After creating the service, you can change the variants the booking rule applies to:

1. Open the service → **Availability** tab.
2. Under **Booking type**, click **Select product variants**.
3. Re-tick the variants you need.
4. Click **Save**.
