# Enable the app

Before your limit rules show up on your storefront, you need to activate the app in your theme.

### Activate the app embed

1. Open the Pareto admin app. If the app isn't activated yet, you'll see a yellow warning banner on the Dashboard that says **"Action required."**

2. Click **"Activate Now"** on the banner. This takes you directly to the Shopify Theme Editor.

3. In the Theme Editor, find **Pareto Limit Purchase** in the **App embeds** section on the left panel.
4. Toggle it **on**.
5. Click **Save** in the top right corner.

> **Tip:** If you skip this step, your limit rules won't appear on the product or cart pages — even if the rules are set to Active.

### Add the app block to your Checkout page
(optional - for non-Plus stores using Checkout Validation)

1. In your Shopify Admin, go to **Online Store > Themes**.
2. Click **Customize** on your active theme.
3. At the top of the Theme Editor, switch the page view to **Checkout**.

4. In the left panel, click **Add app block**.
5. Find and select **Pareto – Payment Limit**.
6. Drag it to the position you want in the checkout layout.
7. Click **Save**.
