This is the very first step to start sending events from your store to Facebook. There are 2 concepts to bear in mind:

* Browser events: sent by a pixel that works and executes on the visitor’s browser. Pixel installed this way is prone to data loss due to cookie blockers, ad blockers & browser blockers.
* Server events: sent from our servers to Facebook server, without depending on browsers. This means less data loss.

You’ll mostly need to send both kinds of events for accuracy's sake, but for now, let’s work on browser events first.

Create a pixel

Get the pixel ID

Give our app the pixel ID & choose the tracking area

Ensure purchase events are tracked properly

Voilà! Now your pixel works on the browser-side and sends browser events. The next step is to check if your pixel is sending browser events properly.
