# How to connect with Australia Post?

This guide will walk you through the process of connecting your account to AustraliaPost for seamless return label generation.
## Step 1: Obtain Your API Key
To connect with AustraliaPost, you’ll need to obtain an API key. Follow these steps:
 
* Firstly, you need to register at the AustraliaPost Developer Centre ([https://developers.auspost.com.au/](https://developers.auspost.com.au/))
* **IMPORTANT: When registering, you must:**
    * a. Choose Australia Post eParcel accounts (Synctrack – AusPost integration only supports for eParcel account’s API. For other service, please contact us)
    * b. Select “**Other**” when asked about their platform partner (view picture below)
    * c. Enter **“OmegaTheme” or “Synctrack Returns”** as their preferred provider
* Complete the rest of the form with your business details and submit the request.
* AustraliaPost will review your request and provide you with a production API Key.

## Step 2: Connect Your Account
Once you have your API Key:
* Log in to your Synctrack Returns dashboard.
* Navigate to the “Settings” section > “Logistics” tab
* Look for the AustraliaPost integration option and click “Connect” or “Set up”.
* You’ll be prompted to enter your API Key. Paste the key you received from AustraliaPost into this field.
* Click “Connect” to establish the connection.

## Step 3: Configure Settings
After connecting:
* Set your default package sizes and types.
* Make sure method “Ship with pre-paid lable” is enabled

## Step 4: Test the Connection
Before going live:
* Create a test return request on return page
* Choose “Ship pre-paid label” for return method (This method is only displayed on return page if you enable it in the app as the step above mentioned)

* Submit request
* Go into the app, open this request at tab “Return management”
* Click to approve the request & Select the appropriate shipping carrier if prompted.

* Verify that the label is created correctly and contains accurate information.

## Troubleshooting:
* For any persistent issues, contact AustraliaPost developer support or our customer service team.
* If you encounter any issues with label generation, double-check your API key and connection settings.
* Ensure your account has sufficient balance for label creation if applicable.
