# How to connect with PostNL?

## Overview
Synctrack Returns now connects directly with **PostNL**. If you ship with PostNL — typically in the Netherlands and Belgium — you can link your PostNL business account with your API credentials and generate **return labels + tracking** right inside the return flow. PostNL was previously only reachable through the Sendcloud aggregator; now it's a direct integration, so you no longer need a third-party platform in between.

## Step 1: Get your PostNL API credentials
1. Go to the [PostNL Portal](https://www.postnl.nl/en/) and log in to your business account.

1. Navigate to **API Management**.

1. Copy your **Customer Code**, **Customer Number**, and **Production API Key**.

| You need a PostNL business account with API access. If you don't see **API Management**, contact PostNL to enable API access for your account.

## Step 2: Connect PostNL in Synctrack Returns
1. In your Synctrack dashboard, go to **Settings > Shipping & Delivery > Logistics integration** and click **Connect** on PostNL.

1. Paste the **Customer Code**, **Customer Number**, and **Production API Key** you copied from PostNL into the matching fields.

1. Click **Connect**. When the credentials are valid, PostNL shows as **Connected** and you're ready to create labels.

| Make sure you copied the **Production** API Key (not a sandbox/test key), so the labels you create are valid for live shipments.

## Step 3: Create a return label with PostNL
* Approve a return request in **Return management** and choose **PostNL** as the return provider.
* Synctrack generates the PostNL **return label + tracking** and stores them on the return, so your customer can ship the item back.

## Who can use this feature?
Available to Synctrack Returns merchants who use **PostNL** for return shipping — typically stores in the Netherlands and Belgium. It works like the other courier integrations, with no extra plan gate.
