# How to find your Reddit Pixel ID and Conversion API Token

To connect **Reddit** as a destination in TagFly, you need your **Reddit Pixel ID**. If you also want to send events server-side (recommended for more reliable tracking), you'll need a **Conversion API Token** as well.

### What you'll need
* A Reddit Ads account — as an admin, or a team member with access to Events Manager
* **Reddit Pixel ID** — required
* **Conversion API Token** — optional, only needed if you turn on server-side tracking

###### Step 1: Find your Reddit Pixel ID
1. Log in to [Reddit Ads Manager](https://ads.reddit.com)
2. Go to **Events Manager** ([ads.reddit.com/events-manager](https://ads.reddit.com/events-manager))
3. Your Pixel ID is shown at the top of the page — it starts with `a2_`, e.g. `a2_jmlsd2qs8g8n`

| If your team manages more than one Reddit business account, double-check this ID matches the pixel ID listed under **Accounts** ([ads.reddit.com/accounts](https://ads.reddit.com/accounts)) for the account you want conversions attributed to.

###### Step 2: Generate your Reddit Conversion API Token
Skip this step if you don't plan to use server-side tracking.
1. In **Events Manager**, select **Conversion Access Tokens** from the sidebar (or go directly to [ads.reddit.com/events-manager/conversion-tokens](https://ads.reddit.com/events-manager/conversion-tokens))
2. Click **Generate Access Token**

1. Give the token a descriptive name — e.g. `TagFly - [your store name]`
2. Click **Generate**
3. Copy the token to your clipboard right away

||| Reddit shows the full token only **once**. If you close the dialog without copying it, you can't retrieve it again — you'll need to generate a new one.

| Good to know: A Conversion API Token doesn't expire, so you only need to generate it once. If you ever delete it from Reddit, server-side tracking will stop working until you generate a new one and update it in TagFly.

###### Step 3: Add them to TagFly
1. In TagFly, go to **Tracking configurations > Reddit**
2. Open the **Settings** tab
3. Paste your Pixel ID into **Reddit Pixel ID**
4. If you generated one, paste it into **Conversion API Token** — leave this blank if you're not using server-side tracking
5. (Optional) Turn on **Test Server-side events** to verify events before going live — remember to turn it off when you're done testing
6. Click **Next step** to continue

### FAQ
1. **Do I need a Conversion API Token?**
No. It's only required if you want server-side tracking. Without it, TagFly still sends events through the Reddit Pixel (client-side).
2. **I don't see "Conversion Access Tokens" in the Events Manager sidebar.**
This usually means your Reddit account doesn't have admin access to that Ads account. Ask your account admin to generate the token, or grant you access.
3. **I closed the dialog before copying my token — what now?**
You can't recover it. Go back to **Events Manager > Conversion Access Tokens**, generate a new token, and update it in TagFly's Reddit settings.
4. **Can I use the same token for multiple stores?**
Yes, technically, but we recommend generating a separate, clearly named token per store so you can tell them apart and revoke one without affecting the others.
