# 👩‍💻 How to place an order test?


## Requirements:

* Activate the DingDoong app in your theme to use the scheduling widget.
    
* If you're unsure how, follow the instructions in [DASHBOARD](https://docs.dingdoong.io/dashboard/dashboard)
    
* You must enable local delivery or store pickup and set your preferences.

# Scenario

You are a store specializing in home decor and interior decorations for living spaces. Your store is located at **123 Imaginary Lane, Floor 2, Dreamtown, NY 10001**.

You offer a **store pickup service** to provide customers with more flexibility in receiving their items. This approach not only enhances customer convenience but also helps **boost sales and encourages more purchases**. By allowing customers to choose how and when to pick up their orders, you cater to diverse preferences and improve the overall shopping experience.

For store pickup, you expect:

Expectations:

* You offer store pickup 6 days a week, **from Monday to Saturday.**
    
* Pickup time is from **10 AM to 7 PM,** and customers can select **a 60-minute pickup window**, such as 10 AM - 11 AM, 11 AM - 12 PM, and so on until 7 PM.

Expectations:

* Schedule according to preparation time: You need **1 day to prepare** the order before the customer picks it up.
    
    If a customer places an order **after 5 PM on Monday**, they can only choose a **pickup time on Thursday.**

Once the setup is complete, please follow these steps to place a test order from the storefront.

**Step 1**. Select a date

**Step 2.** Select a time range

**Step 3.** Click **Check out** to proceed to **Checkout page**

**Step 4.** Fill in personal information to pay for the order

# Results

The date and time you selected will appear on the **Thank You page.**

Go to **Admin** and check the order you placed. You will see the **checkout channel** and **the tags** for the selected date and time.
