# How to restrict future orders?

| When do you need to use this feature?
 
You can use this feature in various scenarios, such as:
* Restricting **how far ahead customers can place orders.**
* Offering **a specific delivery method only for a limited number of days**. For example, if you want to provide local delivery for the next 5 days including today, you can set the maximum available days to 5. After that, customers won’t be able to choose a delivery date beyond the 5th day from today for local delivery.


# How to set up?

* Go to the method rule you offer your customer (Local delivery, Shipping, Pickup)

* Go to **Number of days customers can foresee**
