# How to update permissions for a Collaborator

###### After you’ve [accepted the collaboration request](https://help.omegatheme.com/en/article/how-to-accept-a-collaborator-request-on-shopify-1oa3u6u/) from the Omega team, there may be times when we need you — the store owner (merchant) — to update or add more permissions in your Shopify admin.
######

This allows our team to access specific areas we need in order to complete additional setup or troubleshooting tasks efficiently.

Follow these steps to update the collaborator’s permissions:
# Step 1: Go to your Shopify Settings
* Log in to your **Shopify Admin**.
* Click **Settings** (at the bottom left corner of your screen).

# Step 2: Open Users and Permissions

###### **From the Settings page, select Users and permissions.**

# Step 3: Find the Omega Collaborator
* Scroll down to the **Collaborators** section.
* You’ll see a list of active collaborators.
* Find **Omega** (the collaborator account - This is us - Omega team if you have accepted our Collaboration request).

### Step 4: Edit Permissions
* Click on **Omega** to open the permission details.
* Edit the **Store Permissions** or/and** App and sales channel permissions**
* Check or uncheck the boxes to **grant or remove** access to specific areas of your store (for example: Apps management, Orders, Themes, etc.)

|| **Important note:**
Normally, our support agents will only ask merchants to update the **Customer events permission** under **Store permissions > Store settings**, since this specific access cannot be included when we send the initial collaboration request to your store.

If you are requested to grant this permission, please make sure to enable **both “View” and “Manage” access**, as shown in the screenshot below.

### Step 5: Save Your Changes
* Once done, scroll down to the bottom of the page or check the top of the page.
* Click **Save** to confirm the updated permissions.

|| That’s it! You’ve successfully updated the collaborator access.

If you’re not sure which permissions to enable, please reach out to the **Omega team** — we’ll guide you through exactly what’s needed.
