# Integration with Subscription Apps

The Subscription integration lets you display a subscription option alongside your quantity-break tiers in one offer widget. Customers can subscribe to repeat deliveries at a discounted rate directly from the product page.
> **Note:** Subscription discounts are applied first. Other app or Shopify discounts are applied on top of the already-discounted subscription price.

## Prerequisites
Before enabling the subscription feature, make sure the following are in place:
* A Shopify-compatible subscription app is installed — such as Shopify Subscription App, Recharge, Seal Subscriptions, Bold Subscriptions, or any app that uses Shopify's native Selling Plan API.
* Selling plans are created and published in your subscription app. Plans must exist before they appear in this integration.
* P: Quantity Breaks & Discounts App is up to date — check for updates in the Shopify App Store.

## How to Enable Subscription for an Offer
1. From your Shopify Admin, open **P: Quantity Breaks & Discounts**.
2. Select the offer you want to edit, or create a new one.
3. Go to **Display Settings** (inside the Create/Edit Offer page).
4. Scroll to the **Subscription** section at the bottom.
5. Check **Enable subscription for this offer**.
6. Fill in the label fields:

| Subtitle | Cancel anytime | Supporting text shown below the title |
| Badge | Extra off | Small badge label displayed on the row |

7. Adjust colors for Title, Subtitle, Badge text, and Badge background as needed.
8. Click **Save**.
> 💡 **Tip:** You can find the Subscription section under **Create/Edit Offer → Display Settings**.

## What This Integration Does (and Doesn't Do)
This integration **displays your existing subscription selling plans** inside the offer widget — so customers can see and select a subscription option without leaving the product page.
**Important limitations to be aware of:**
* This integration **reads and displays** subscription discount prices from your subscription app. It does **not** create, modify, or manage subscription plans or discounts for individual products.
* To create or customize subscription plans and discounts per product, do so directly inside your subscription app (e.g., Shopify Subscription App, Recharge, Seal Subscriptions, etc.).
* Changes to subscription pricing or plan structure must be made in your subscription app, not in this app.

## Hiding the Third-Party Subscription Widget
If your subscription app renders its own widget on the product page, it may conflict with the offer widget. To prevent this:
1. Check **Hide third-party subscription widget** in the Subscription settings.
2. *(Optional)* Enter a **Widget CSS selector** to target a specific element. Leave blank to use the default behavior.
    * Example selector: `.variant-picker`
> **Tip:** Only use the CSS selector if the default hiding behavior removes the wrong element on your storefront.

## How Discounts Are Stacked
Understanding discount order prevents unexpected pricing:
1. **Subscription discount** is applied first (set in your subscription app).
2. **Quantity break discount** from this app is applied next.
3. **Other Shopify or app discounts** are applied last.
The final price shown to the customer reflects all stacked discounts combined.

## Troubleshooting & FAQ
**The subscription option is not showing on my storefront.**
* Confirm that **Enable subscription for this offer** is checked under **Display Settings**.
* Make sure at least one selling plan is published in your subscription app.
* Check that your subscription app is active and not paused.
* Save the offer and refresh your storefront.

**My subscription app widget is still visible after enabling the hide option.**
* Enable **Hide third-party subscription widget** in the Subscription settings.
* If it still appears, use the **Widget CSS selector** field to target the exact element. Inspect your storefront with browser DevTools to find the correct selector.
* Contact support if the widget persists after entering a selector.

**The subscription discount is not combining correctly with my other discounts.**
* Subscription discounts always apply first. This is by design and cannot be reordered.
* Other Pareto or Shopify discounts are applied after the subscription price is set.
* If the final price looks incorrect, verify the discount settings in both this app and your subscription app to avoid unintended overlap.

**My subscription app is installed but no selling plans appear in the offer.**
* Confirm your subscription app uses Shopify's native Selling Plan API. Apps with custom checkout flows may not be compatible.
* Make sure the selling plan is assigned to the specific product included in the offer.
* Try deactivating and reactivating the offer after confirming the plan is published.

**Can I change subscription plan discounts or pricing from this app?**
* No. This integration only **displays** the subscription discount prices inside the widget. Subscription plan management — including pricing and discounts per product — must be handled directly in your subscription app.

**Can I customize the widget UI?**
