# Limit one exchange item per return item

## Overview 

In Synctrack Returns, merchant can set up exchange advance rules to optimize the exchange workflow. The **“Limit one exchange item per return item”** feature allows the system to limit exchanges to one item per returned item so that exchange abuse is prevented.

## How to enable **Limit one exchange item per return item**?
### Go to Settings > Configuration 
* Tick checkbox "**Limit one exchange item per return item**" 
* Click "Save"

## How it works?
For each returned item, the system allows only one replacement item. Multiple-item exchanges are blocked at submission.
