# Market targeting: give each market its own Pixel

Market targeting lets you assign a Pixel to one or more of your Shopify Markets. Each shopper's events (View content, Add to cart, Purchase) are then sent to the Pixel that matches their market — so every region has its own Pixel, clean data, and clean audiences.

## Who it's for
Stores selling in **two or more markets** (e.g. EU, US, Japan), or **agencies/teams that each manage one region** and need their data kept separate. Selling in a single market? Just leave the default **All markets**.

## Why use it
* **Clean audiences per market** — Custom Audiences and Lookalikes contain the right people for each region, with no manual URL rules in Ads Manager.
* **Full funnel tagged by market** — every event is classified by Shopify Market, so each region's reporting stays its own.
* **Separation for teams & agencies** — each region gets its own Pixel and ad account, with no numbers mixed in.
* **Works with product filters** — one Pixel can target a market *and* a product set (e.g. "EU market" + "Shoes collection").

## How to set it up
1. Open **Facebook Pixel & CAPI →** add or edit a Pixel.
2. Under **Market targeting**, select **Specific markets**.
3. Choose the markets this Pixel should track.
4. Click **Save**.

## When to use it
Splitting traffic across Pixels also splits your conversion signal, which can slow ad sets leaving the learning phase. Use Market targeting when **each market already has steady order volume** — if spend is thin across many countries, keep a single shared Pixel for now.
