# Omega Google Ads: Muti-market tracking

Overview
> Market & Events restructures the way Omega Google Ads manages tracking, from a channel-centric model (separate tabs for Google Ads, GA4, and GTM) to a market-centric model. Each Shopify market now gets its own dedicated tracking configuration.
👉 Clean, market-separated data means stronger first-party signals to Google AI and better ad performance per region.
👉 If you sell to more than one Shopify market, this screen lets you send each region's data to its own GA4 property, GTM container, and Google Ads account, instead of blending everything under one setup.

## ${color}[rgb(var(--black))](Reading the top of the screen)
Before the Markets table, two cards give you an at-a-glance summary of your setup.
* **Signal Quality** tells you how your data is currently separated. For example, `Unified · 4 regions under one config` means you sell to 4 Shopify markets but track them all under one Global configuration. As you add dedicated market configs, this card reflects how cleanly your signals are separated.
* **Connected Google Accounts** lists the Google accounts linked to Omega Google Ads and which market each one is used by (for example, `Used by Global`). Use **+ Connect another** to authorize an additional Google account when a market needs its own.
The plan bar shows your current plan and usage, for example `Free plan · 0 of 0 custom markets configured`. Use **Manage plan** to change limits. **Guide doc** and **Ask product team** in the header give you extra help at any time.

## ${color}[rgb(var(--black))](Key concepts)
* **Global tracking** 👉 Global is the baseline configuration that applies to your entire store. Any Shopify market that does not have its own custom configuration automatically falls back to the Global settings. Global is marked `Default` in the Markets table.
* **Market tracking** 👉 A market is a Shopify market you have given its own dedicated configuration, with its own GA4, GTM, Google Ads, and Remarketing accounts. Data from that market then routes to its own destinations instead of Global's.
* **Inherit default settings** 👉 When you add a market, you can tick **Use the default tracking configuration by the app** to start from the app's recommended setup, then edit only what you need. This saves you from configuring every field by hand.

## ${color}[rgb(var(--black))](Step-by-step: add a market)
1. Go to **Market & Events** in the app.
2. Click **+ Add market** in the top right. This opens the Add market page.

![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/8/3/8/3/8383e5404a31c000/image_1mmjmek.png)
3. **Choose the market.** Under **Market information**, open the **Market** dropdown and pick the Shopify market you want to configure. The list is pulled from your Shopify Markets.
4. **Set the status.** Choose **Active** to start tracking this market right away, or **Draft** to save the configuration without turning it on yet.
5. **Inherit default settings (optional)**
* Tick **Use the default tracking configuration by the app** to apply the recommended setup
* Click **View detailed settings** to review and edit the details, including which conversion events to track for this market

6. **Set the Tracking IDs.** Turn on each channel you want for this market and choose its account:
    * **Google Analytics 4 (GA4)** → pick a **GA4 account**, then set the **Measurement ID**. Use **Auto create** to let Trakpilot create a new GA4 property for you, or **Select existing** to link one you already have.
    * **Server-side Tracking** → tick **Activate server-side tracking for GA4** to send GA4 events server-side for this market.
    * **Google Tag Manager (GTM)** → pick a **GTM account** and **Container**, again with **Auto create** or **Select existing**.
    * **Google Ads** → select the Google Ads account for this market.
    * **Google Ads Remarketing** → select the remarketing account for this market.

7. Click **Save**. The market now appears in the Markets table.
| 💡 **Tip:** When you add a market, Omega Google Ads can automatically create the required GA4 property and GTM container if they do not exist yet, so you do less manual setup.

## ${color}[rgb(var(--black))](Edit a market)
To edit a market, click the **edit icon** in the **Actions** column of the Markets table. You can update:
* Status (Active or Draft)
* Inherit default settings
* GA4 account, Measurement ID, and server-side tracking
* GTM account and container
* Google Ads account
* Google Ads Remarketing account
![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/8/3/8/3/8383e5404a31c000/image_m9z0s8.png)

After you make changes, click **Save**. That market's tracking updates immediately to the new settings. Use the **delete icon** in Actions to remove a market (Global cannot be removed, as it is the default fallback).

## ${color}[rgb(var(--black))](Understanding the Markets table
)
| Column | What it shows |
| ---- |
| **Market** | The market name, with its country. Global is marked `Default` and labeled "Fallback for all unconfigured markets". |
| **Status** | Active or Draft, controlled by the toggle. |
| **GA4** | The GA4 property applied for this market (`--` if not set). |
| **GTM** | The GTM container applied for this market (`--` if not set). |
| **Google Ads** | The Google Ads account applied for this market. |
| **Google Remarketing** | The remarketing account applied for this market. |
| **Actions** | Edit or delete the market. |

## ${color}[rgb(var(--black))](Managing Conversion Events)
The **Conversion Events** section controls which events fire to which channel. You can check or uncheck events to turn tracking on or off per channel. Changes apply to all markets sharing the same account.
![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/8/3/8/3/8383e5404a31c000/image_1xmrvpc.png)

* **Filters.** Use **Showing events for** to pick the **market** (for example, Global) and the **account** (for example, your Google Ads account). The table then shows that combination's events.
**Columns.** Each row is one conversion event with:
    * **Public status** → the current state of the event, for example `Pending` until it has been verified as firing.
    * **GA4 / Google Ads / Google Remarketing →** a toggle per channel showing whether the event fires to that destination.
* **Events you can control include:** Add Payment Info, Add to Cart, Begin Checkout, First-time Customer Purchase, Lead, Page View, Purchase, Request a Quote, Returning Customer Purchase, Search, and View Content.
* **Manage conversions:** Click **Manage conversions** to open the full Google Ads conversions view, where you can create, edit, and remove conversion actions tied to your Google Ads account.

## ${color}[rgb(var(--black))](Frequently asked questions)
1. **Do I need to set up separate markets if I only sell in one country?** → No. If you operate in a single region, you can rely on the Global configuration. Market & Events is designed for merchants who need different tracking across regions.
2. **Can two markets share the same Google Ads account?** → Yes. You can link the same Google Ads account to Global and to a custom market. Google Ads records conversion actions per market, so your data stays distinguishable.
3. **Can two markets share the same GA4 property or GTM container?** → For clean, separated data we recommend a dedicated GA4 property and GTM container per market. Sharing one property across markets mixes their data back together, which defeats the purpose of market-separated tracking.
4. **What is the difference between Active and Draft?** → Active markets track live. Draft markets save their configuration without firing any tracking, so you can prepare a setup and turn it on later.
5. **Why do my events show "Pending"?** → Pending means the event has not yet been verified as firing to the channel. Once Trakpilot confirms it, the status updates.
