# 🛡️ Permission Checklist: Facebook Catalog

You need permission to update Shopify product changes to a Catalog

Before syncing your Shopify products to Facebook Catalog using **FeedNexa**, you must ensure you have the **correct permissions**. Without the right access level, the sync may **fail** or update incorrectly.
This checklist ensures your account is **properly connected** and has the right **permission scope** to manage the Facebook Catalog successfully.
###
✅ **Check Facebook Business Manager Access**
To manage Facebook Catalogs, you must have access to a **Facebook Business Manager** that owns the **Commerce Account** and **Catalog**.
1. Go to [Business Settings](https://business.facebook.com/settings).
2. Verify your role in People
3. Ensure you have either:
* **Business Admin** roleOr direct permissions to manage Catalog assets

💡 If you're not an Admin, ask your Business Admin to adjust your role or assign you to the Catalog asset manually.
If you own the account that's assigned with this full control, then you will be able to directly sync product to a catalog.

If you don't own such accounts, you can generate a data feed file that's dynamically updated, and pass that file link to the person who have access to the catalog.
