# Testing Mode

## What is Testing Mode?
**Testing Mode** allows you to test Checkout Rules safely **without affecting real customers or live checkout behavior**.
When Testing Mode is enabled, your rule will still:
* Run all conditions
* Validate logic
* Display test messages or behaviors
But it will **NOT enforce** any real action on the live checkout.
This helps you make sure everything works as expected before going live.

## Why should you use Testing Mode?
Checkout Rules can directly impact:
* Payment availability
* Shipping methods
* Discounts
* Customer experience at checkout
Testing Mode helps you:
* Test rules without blocking real payments
* Avoid breaking checkout for real shoppers
* Verify conditions, messages, and logic safely
* Reduce risk before activating rules

## How to test a rule using Testing Mode
Follow these steps:
**Step 1:** Switch the rule status to **Testing Mode** in your Checkout Rule and Save the rule

Their will be a pop-up modal that guide you through the next step, press "Go to checkout", you will be redirected to your store

**Step 2:** Go to your store checkout
If your rule includes **product-related conditions** (such as specific products, collections, or product tags), make sure to:
* Add the **correct product** to the cart
* Proceed to checkout **with that product**
Otherwise, the rule **will not be triggered**, even in Testing Mode.

**Step 3:** Fill the required fields and in **Address Line 1**, add the word "Testing"

**Step 4:** Continue checkout as usual to confirm that the rule trigger as expected. Once you done, click on "Complete Testing" and let us know the result of your test!
