# Time slot booking setup

Time Slot booking lets customers pick a date and then choose a specific time slot within that day (45 min, 90 min...). This guide walks through the full Availability tab setup for Time Slot.

## Step 1 — Choose Booking Type

In the **Availability** tab, under **Booking type**, choose **Time slot**.

| Field | Description |
| ---- |
| **Product name / Name service** | Shopify product name and the name shown on the widget. |
| **Select product variants** | Change which variants the booking rule applies to. |

## Step 2 — Shipping Method *(Rental services only)*

| Method | Description |
| ---- |
| **Express delivery** | Same-day fast delivery |
| **Pickup/Collection** | Customer picks up at the store |
| **Standard shipping** | Regular shipping (2-5 days) |

Each ticked method creates its own Availability tab, allowing different delivery hours per method.

**Copy setup from** — the dropdown at the top of each tab lets you copy the configuration from another active method.

## Step 3 — Configure Availability

| Field | Description |
| ---- |
| **Name availability** | Memorable name for this slot. |
| **Rental day** | Days of the week you're open. |
| **Specific dates** | Special working dates (you don't normally work, but accept bookings on these dates). |
| **Start & End time** | Daily booking window opening and closing times. |
| **Max quantity / time slot** | Maximum customers per time slot. |
| **Time slot Duration** | 30/45/60/90/Custom — multiple values can be selected. |
| **Price per [X] min slot** | Separate price for each duration. |
| **Buffer time** | Gap between slots. Unit: **Minutes**. |

## Step 4 — Blocked Dates

Mark specific dates as unbookable.

1. Toggle **Blocked dates** on.
2. Click **+ Add blocked dates**.
3. Choose 1 day, multiple individual days, or a date range.

Blocked dates appear in gray on the widget calendar.

## Step 5 — Lead Time, Cut-off, Look Ahead

| Field | Description |
| ---- |
| **Lead time** | Minimum gap between booking time and service start. Units: Hours/Days/Weeks. |
| **Cut-off after** | After this time, stop accepting bookings for the same day. |
| **Look ahead** | Maximum number of days customers can book in advance. |

## Save the service

Click **Save** in the top right.
