# Understanding the AI Store File (llms.txt)

The **AI Store File**, also known as **llms.txt**, is a small public file that helps AI systems understand your store. Think of it as your store’s “AI business card” — a simple summary that tells AI assistants what you sell, what makes your brand unique, and where to find key pages on your website.

### **What it does**
When AI crawlers (like those from ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity) visit your site, they look for structured data they can easily read.
The llms.txt file gives them a clean, readable summary of your store, including:
* Store name and domain
* What you sell and your key collections
* Links to your main pages, products, and policies
* Notes about your brand values or specialties
This means your store is more likely to appear correctly when shoppers ask AI assistants questions like *“Where can I buy vintage Polaroid cameras?”* or *“Best handmade soap stores online.”*

### **How the app creates it**
You don’t have to write or upload anything yourself.** Synctrack LLMs Index** automatically generates and updates your llms.txt file from your public Shopify data — products, collections, and store details already visible online. 
It refreshes regularly (about once a week) so the information stays accurate as your store changes. You can also click **Refresh now** anytime after major product or collection updates.

### **Where to find it**
Once enabled, your llms.txt file is publicly accessible at your store’s root domain.

You can open this link in your browser to preview what AI assistants will read.

### **Privacy note**
The llms.txt file only includes public data that’s already visible on your store — such as product titles, collection names, and descriptions. It never includes customer, order, or payment information.
