# Using the app: Pixels, Campaigns, and Settings

A quick tour of the three pages you will use after setup.

## Pixels

The "Pixels" page lists every pixel with its **Health** in plain words ("Working", "Key isn't valid", "Browser only (no server key)", and so on), how much was sent in the last 24 hours, and the last 4 characters of its server key.

Actions: **Add pixel**, rename, **Add key / Replace key**, **Test connection**, **Turn on / Turn off**, and **Delete** (with confirmation). Changes apply to your store right away.

One rule of thumb: keep **one pixel turned on per ad account**. With two pixels on, your events get split and every number looks lower than reality; the app warns you if this happens.

## Campaigns

Once your account is connected, the "Campaigns" page shows Spend, Impressions, Clicks, Conversions, Cost per conversion, ROAS, and Attributed sales for the range you pick (Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, This month). Dates follow your **ad account's timezone**.

- If something is stopping a campaign from delivering (missing payment method, brand under review, budget spent, and more), the app shows the reason with a fix button that takes you to the right place.
- You can **Pause**, **Resume**, and **Archive** campaigns here. Resume and Archive ask for confirmation, and every action is logged.
- **"Create campaign"** opens ChatGPT Ads Manager.
- Numbers refresh periodically; click **"Refresh"** (once per minute) for the latest. Conversions can take up to a day to settle, so small differences from Ads Manager are normal.

## Settings

Three sections, saved with Shopify's save bar at the top:

- **"Events from the browser"**: how events are sent from the shopper's browser. Keep the default "Send in the OpenAI SDK format" unless you have a specific reason; "Send with an image tag" is a lightweight fallback that does not send purchases from the browser (the server still does), and "Off" sends from the server only. Changes reach your storefront within about 5 minutes.
- **"Event settings"**: per event (Page viewed, Product viewed, Added to cart, Checkout started, Purchase) you can turn sending on or off, choose the value sent (total payment or product subtotal), and choose the product ID (variant ID, product ID, or SKU) to match your ChatGPT Ads catalog. Turning off Purchase shows a warning, because ChatGPT needs purchases to optimize. "Restore defaults" resets everything.
- **"ChatGPT Ads account"**: see what is connected, and disconnect. Disconnecting only removes the ads key: your store keeps sending events, only the Campaigns page and spend numbers stop showing. Uninstalling the app is what stops tracking completely.

Customer data has no toggle: when a shopper consents, their details are sent hashed for matching; when they do not, nothing is sent. This follows your Shopify privacy settings automatically.
