# [WIX] Omega Instagram Feed: Import media & tag products

Importing media is the first step in building your Instagram Feed. It brings your Instagram content into the app so you can review, organize, and use it in widgets on your Wix site.
The process has two simple steps:
1. **Connect your account** - securely connect Instagram or Meta for Business to access eligible posts, reels, and other supported content.
2. **Manage media in Media Library** - review imported content, select the media you want to use, organize it for your feed, and prepare it for product tags or widget creation.

# Connect Instagram/Meta account

Connect accounts that you'd like to import content. Use the method that matches how your business is organized.

| **Connection route** | **Choose it when** | **What happens** |
| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| Instagram connection | You want to authenticate directly with an Instagram professional account. | Sign in, approve the requested permissions, then choose the account to use. |
| Meta for Business | Your Instagram account is linked to a Facebook Page and you manage content through Meta. | Sign in to Meta, select the connected Facebook Page, then choose the Instagram media to import. |

### Connect directly with Instagram
| **Step** | **Action** |
| ---- | ---- |
| 1 | Open Wix Instagram Feed and go to Media Library or Account settings. |
| 2 | Choose Import from Instagram or Connect Instagram. |
| 3 | Sign in to the Instagram professional account in the authorization window. |
| 4 | Review and approve the requested permissions. |
| 5 | Return to the app and confirm that the correct account is shown. |

### Connect through Meta for Business
| **Step** | **Action** |
| ---- | ---- |
| 1 | In Media Library, choose Import via Meta for Business. |
| 2 | Sign in to the Meta account that manages the relevant Facebook Page. |
| 3 | Select the Facebook Page linked to the Instagram account. |
| 4 | Confirm that the expected Instagram posts and videos appear before importing. |

### If you manage more than one Instagram account
Connect each account separately. In the app’s account settings, confirm which account is primary. Media retains its source account, while the storefront identity uses the primary account. If you switch accounts in the import screen, refresh the media list before making selections.
# Import and organize media
Media Library is your working library. Imported media can be reviewed, selected for widgets, and connected to products before it becomes visible on the site.

**Start with a content plan**
Before importing, decide what the feed should help visitors do: discover a new collection, see real customer content, explore a campaign, or shop a featured product. Select only the strongest posts for that goal. You can import more media later, so start with a focused set that looks consistent together and has the right usage permissions.

**Import owned posts and reels**
| **Step** | **Action** |
| ---- | ---- |
| 1 | Open Media Library and select Import media. |
| 2 | Choose Instagram or Meta for Business. |
| 3 | Select the account or connected Page, if prompted. |
| 4 | Tick the media you want to bring into the library. Carousel/album children are imported with their parent content when available. |
| 5 | Choose Confirm. Wait until the item is marked active/ready before using it in a widget. |

**Import collaboration and mentioned posts**
| **Content type** | **How to prepare it** | **Where to find it** |
| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| Collaboration posts | Accept the collaboration on Instagram. The post should be public and your account must be connected. | They appear with imported Instagram media and are identifiable as collaboration content. |
| Mentioned posts | Connect through Meta for Business, then ensure the account has the required Meta permissions and the mention is eligible. | They appear once the app can retrieve and resolve the mentioned media. |

# Tag products to media

Product tags turn an Instagram post, reel, or UGC asset into a shoppable discovery point. Add tags before creating the widget so you can verify the shopper experience in preview and on the live site.

1. Go to Media Library page
2. Click Tag product in each media or select multiple media to bulk tag

5. To edit or remove a tag, return to the same media item and select Edit media. Any change affects every widget that uses that media, so recheck live placements afterwards
