Instagram Connection Error: “400 Session Invalid”
If you're seeing the "400 Session Invalid" error when trying to connect your Instagram account to Omega Instagram Feed, this means that Instagram couldn’t verify your session due to a mismatch or expired login state. This is a known issue on Instagram’s end and has been reported by several users.
This problem originates from Instagram itself, it’s not something we can resolve directly within our app.
Here’s some suggested ways to fix it 👇
- Log out of Instagram on your browser
- Visit instagram.com and log out of all your active accounts.
- Close the browser/app
- Log back into your Instagram
- Go to the app and try to connect again
- Clear your browser cookies and cache
This ensures that old or invalid login sessions are fully removed. You can search “how to clear cookies in [your browser name]” if needed or contact us.
- Use a new incognito/private window
Open a new incognito (Chrome) or private (Safari/Firefox) window and go to your Shopify admin.
- Network troubleshooting
- Switch to another network or IP address.
- Try using mobile data instead of Wi-Fi (or vice versa).

- Make sure your Instagram account is not restricted or disabled.
- If your account is newly created, Instagram may temporarily block external access.
- If you’re managing multiple Instagram accounts, be sure you are logging into the correct one during connection.
