1. What are the differences between the blacklist and the whitelist?

Please check the comparison table below:

CategoryBlacklistWhitelist
FunctionAll items in the blacklist will be blocked from your websiteAll items in the whitelist will always have access to your website
HierachyAdhere to items in the whitelistOverride items in the blacklist
PriorityLowHigh
ExceptionItems will not be blocked if they're also on the whitelistItems will still be blocked if they use VPN/Proxy connections

A quick way to understand how they work together is: If you add Australia into the blacklist and an Australian IP address to the whitelist, only that Australian IP address will have access to your website (others will be blocked).

What happens when you block and redirect the same IP address or a country?

When you both block and redirect the same IP address or a country, whichever rule you add first will be applied to your store.

For example: If you block country A first, then redirect users of country A to Google, the blocking rule will be applied to your store.
