How to filter products from being sent?
Overview
The Product Filter feature allows you to control which products are included or excluded from tracking events sent to your marketing channels (Google Ads, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Twitter, Bing Ads, Klaviyo, and Google Analytics 4).
This feature is particularly useful when you want to:
- Exclude certain products from tracking (e.g., test products, gift cards, internal items)
- Track only specific product categories or collections
- Filter products based on tags, titles, or vendors
- Optimize your marketing spend by excluding low-value or non-trackable items
Getting Started
- When you create or edit a destination, move to the Product Filtering section

Initial Setup
When you first access the Product Filter step, you'll see three filter mode options:
- Send All (Default): No filtering is applied; all products are included
- Exclude Products: Products matching your rules will be excluded from events
- Include Only Products: Only products matching your rules will be included in events
Filter Modes
Send All
When to use: When you want to track all products without any filtering.
- All products in orders will be included in tracking events
- No filter rules are required
- This is the default mode and recommended for most stores
Example use case: A new store that wants to track all products without restrictions.
Exclude Products (Black List)
When to use: When you want to track most products but exclude specific ones.
- Products matching any of your filter rules will be excluded
- All other products will be included in events
- Requires at least one filter rule
Example use cases:
- Excluding test products or internal items
- Excluding gift cards or digital products
- Excluding products from specific vendors
How it works:
- If a product matches any rule → Excluded
- If a product matches no rules → Included
Include Only Products (White List)
When to use: When you want to track only specific products.
- Only products matching any of your filter rules will be included
- All other products will be excluded from events
- Requires at least one filter rule
Example use cases:
- Tracking only products from specific collections
- Tracking only products with certain tags
- Tracking only products from specific vendors
How it works:
- If a product matches any rule → Included
- If a product matches no rules → Excluded

When to use:
- When you organize products using tags (e.g., "sale", "new-arrival", "gift-card")
- When you want to filter by product categories or collections

2. Product Title

- When product titles follow a naming convention
- When you want to filter products with specific keywords in their names
- When you need to exclude/include products based on title patterns
