Trustify Google Reviews FAQs

1. How do I remove the "Powered by Trustify" brandmark/watermark from my store?

Our support team can generally remove it for you directly. It is typically a feature available on paid plans

2. Why are my Google reviews not updating or syncing automatically on my website?

The app does not support real-time syncing of Google reviews. Instead, the paid version of the app automatically synchronizes reviews once per day. Additionally, you can manually trigger a review sync whenever you need to update them immediately.

3. Is a Google Map location required to use the app?

Yes, our app is designed to pull reviews directly from your Google Map location. If your business doesn't have a physical location associated with Google reviews, the app cannot retrieve them this way. In such cases, you might consider using our other app, Trustify: Testimonial Reviews https://apps.shopify.com/trustify which allows you to import reviews via a CSV file to add them to your product pages and build trust.

4. Can customers write new reviews directly through the app on my website?

No, the primary function of this app is to display existing Google reviews from your Google business profile on your Shopify store. The ""Write a review"" link or similar calls to action within the app will typically direct customers to your Google business page to leave a review there, rather than collecting reviews directly on your website. We have a new feature that allows buyers to rate the store directly on the Thank You page and the Order Status page. You can give it a try

Additionally, advanced customization options, such as filtering reviews (e.g., to show only those with photos), hiding certain display sections (like a "Write a review" box outside the footer), or changing background colors, are generally not available on the free plan and require an upgrade. Editing the wording in reviews is also a paid feature

The app will display reviews in their original language as pulled from Google. However, features for translating reviews into other languages (e.g., French or Spanish) are usually reserved for higher-tier plans, such as the Enterprise plan

Customers can also sync reviews from specific countries. This means fetching reviews only from selected countries in their respective languages (as seen in the screenshot https://prnt.sc/MatHd62zrezV ). This option is different from the translate reviews feature, which translates all existing reviews on the site into another language. The app also currently offers the translate reviews feature in the paid version."
