Issue a refund after approving return request

In Synctrack Returns, merchants can flexibly manage refund resolutions & issue a refund after a return request has been approved.

Requirement


A merchant can issue a refund to shoppers only after approving the return requests.


How to issue a full refund for a return request?


  1. After approving the return request successfully.
  2. Click the "Refund" button to show a page to issue a refund with refund resolution options:




Option 1: Refund to Original Payment Method

  • This option refunds the amount to the payment method used in the original purchase.
  • Synctrack will immediately create a Refund on your Shopify admin.



Option 2: Refund to Gift Card

  • This option issues the refund amount as a gift card.
  • Synctrack will immediately create a gift card on your Shopify admin.

Option 3: Refund to Store Credit

  • This option adds the refund amount as store credit to the customer’s account.
  • Synctrack will immediately create store credit in the customer’s account on your Shopify admin.

Option 4: Refund to Discount Code

  • This option creates a discount code for the refund amount.
  • Synctrack will immediately create a discount code for the shopper in Shopify.

How to issue a partial refund for a return request?

  1. After approving the return request successfully.
  2. Click the "Refund" button to show a page to issue a refund with refund resolution options
  3. Edit the quantity of refunded items


Important Note: The partial refund only works when the return request has greater than or equal to above 2 items. And the partial refund value will be based on the number of items you want to refund.




  1. After Partially Refunded, you will see a badge "Partially refunded" and the number of items you refunded before. Also, you can refund the rest of the value anytime in the future.




Important Note: The refund button will only disappear after you finished refund full amount of the request
