App settings

This section allows you to control how the app works on your store.

  1. Product Validation

Go to App settings -> Product validation and configure the following toggles:

  • Validate limits on product page: When enabled, the app will display a warning message and block the Add to Cart button if the customer's selected quantity does not meet your rules.
  • Set default quantity to minimum: Check this option if you want the product's default quantity to be set to the minimum value of the limit rule when the product page loads
  • Use cart quantity on product page (Experimental): When checking limits on the product page, the app will count items already in the cart. This prevents customers from bypassing limits by adding the same product multiple times.

  • Validate limits on collection page: Check this option to block Add to cart button and display an alert message on the collection page whenever a limit rule is violated.

  1. Cart Validation

Go to Cart validation and configure how the app behaves when a customer views their cart.

  • Validate limits on cart page: Check this option to block Checkout button and display an alert message on the cart page whenever a limit rule is violated.
  • Block checkout (Default): Shows an error message and disables the checkout button if rules are violated, but leaves the quantities unchanged for the customer to fix manually.
  • Auto-adjust quantity: Automatically changes the item quantity to the nearest valid limit to prevent inventory hoarding and ensure a smooth flow.
  • Enable multiples on cart page: Applies your quantity step/increment rules (e.g., must buy in multiples of 5) directly within the cart interface.

  1. Checkout Validation

Checkout Validation helps block orders at the checkout page when the order violates your limit rules. This feature is especially for stores that are NOT using Shopify Plus.

Simply turn the toggle ON in App Settings. When the status shows “Checkout rules status: On”, the feature is active.

Important notes: When this feature is enabled, the app will automatically work across Shopify channels, including: Online Store, Shopify POS, Shop App.

  1. Sync product data

Click Sync Data to allow the app to fetch the latest product information from your store. We recommend syncing when: add new products, update product variants, limit rules are not applying correctly,... The ensures your rules work with the most up-to-date product data.

  1. Debug Mode - Share Function Logs

If Checkout Validation is not working correctly, or customers are still able to purchase restricted products. Please click Share logs in the Debug mode section. This will send function logs to our support team so we can check what went wrong and fix the problem faster.
