Combining Conditions in Checkout Validation, Payment Customization, and Shipping Customization Rules


Overview

The new Condition Selector allows you to combine up to 30+ conditions across Checkout Validation, Payment Customization, and Shipping Customization rules.

With the updated UI, conditions are now selected directly from a condition library with search and filters, making it easier to find what you need.

If you add more than one condition, the app will automatically suggest compatible conditions, ensuring your rules remain valid.

This enhancement gives you greater flexibility and control over your store’s rules, helping you tailor them to your business needs.

  • Combine multiple conditions into a single rule for advanced customization.
  • Use AND logic to enforce stricter rules (all conditions must be true).
  • Use OR logic to allow flexible scenarios (any condition can be true).
  • App automatically prevents incompatible condition combinations.

How to Use This Feature


Step 1: Navigate to the Rule Page

Open the Blockify app in your Shopify admin.

Choose the type of rule you want to configure:

  • Checkout Validation
  • Payment Customization
  • Shipping Customization

Step 2: Select Your First Condition

  • Click Add Condition.
  • Search or filter to find the condition you want.
  • Example: Shipping country = US.

Step 3: Add More Conditions

  • Add additional conditions as needed.
  • The app will automatically filter and suggest only the conditions that can be combined with your first selection.
  • Example: Shipping country = US AND Cart total > $50.

Step 4: Choose Logic Type

Between conditions, you can choose:

  • AND – all conditions must be true.
  • OR – at least one condition must be true.

Example:

  • Country = US AND Cart total > $50
  • OR
  • Payment method = PayPal OR Product tag = Holiday.

Step 5: Save and Test

  • Once all conditions and (if applicable) error messages are configured, click Save Rule.
  • Test your checkout flow to ensure rules work as expected.
