Fixing Common Google Merchant Center Errors with FeedNexa
When syncing products to Google Merchant Center, you may encounter errors such as Missing Value [Gender], Invalid Value [GTIN], Missing Value [Age Group], or issues related to Size, Color, or Condition.... These errors can affect how your products appear on Google Shopping and reduce your advertising performance.
With FeedNexa, fixing these issues is simple and efficient. Our app provides two key features to help you resolve errors:
- Bulk Assign – Quickly update missing or incorrect values (e.g., Gender, Age Group, Condition) across multiple products at once.
- Mapping Fields & Automated Rules – Create smart rules that automatically map product attributes from your store to Google’s required fields, ensuring ongoing compliance without manual effort.
This guide will walk you through the most common errors on Google Merchant Center and show you how to fix them step by step using either Bulk Assign or Mapping Fields & Automated Rules.
1, Age Group, Gender, and Condition
In the Product Settings tab, you’ll find a Product Attributes box where you can set default values for Age Group, Gender, and Condition. By default, these fields are set to Keep blank, but you can change them here to apply a default value across all products.
👉 We recommend setting defaults such as Adult (Age Group), Unisex (Gender), and New (Condition) if most of your products share these attributes. This helps ensure your feed is compliant and reduces common Google Merchant Center errors.
2, Color and Size
For products where you have already set Color and Size in your store (as shown in the example image), FeedNexa will automatically sync these values correctly to Google Merchant Center

If your products don’t have Color or Size variants, you can still provide these values in two ways:
- Custom Attributes (Product Detail tab): Add values manually for each product.
- Bulk Assign + Mapping Fields & Automated Rules: Use Bulk Assign to quickly add values for multiple products, then go to Mapping Fields & Automated Rules to map those values to the required Google attributes (Product Size and Product Color).
