How to update permissions for a Collaborator

After you’ve accepted the collaboration request from the Omega team, there may be times when we need you — the store owner (merchant) — to update or add more permissions in your Shopify admin.

This allows our team to access specific areas we need in order to complete additional setup or troubleshooting tasks efficiently.

Follow these steps to update the collaborator’s permissions:

Step 1: Go to your Shopify Settings

  • Log in to your Shopify Admin.
  • Click Settings (at the bottom left corner of your screen).

Step 2: Open Users and Permissions

From the Settings page, select Users and permissions.

Step 3: Find the Omega Collaborator

  • Scroll down to the Collaborators section.
  • You’ll see a list of active collaborators.
  • Find Omega (the collaborator account - This is us - Omega team if you have accepted our Collaboration request).

Step 4: Edit Permissions

  • Click on Omega to open the permission details.
  • Edit the Store Permissions or/and App and sales channel permissions
  • Check or uncheck the boxes to grant or remove access to specific areas of your store (for example: Apps management, Orders, Themes, etc.).!Store permissions

Step 5: Save Your Changes

  • Once done, scroll down to the bottom of the page or check the top of the page.
  • Click Save to confirm the updated permissions.

Click Save

That’s it! You’ve successfully updated the collaborator access.

If you’re not sure which permissions to enable, please reach out to the Omega team — we’ll guide you through exactly what’s needed.
