Integrating Shopify Flow with Blockify Checkout

🔗 Blockify Checkout – Integrating with Shopify Flow

Blockify Checkout now supports Shopify Flow, allowing merchants to automate actions based on checkout validation results, offer interactions, and Blockify-specific events.

This integration enables powerful automation scenarios without requiring custom code.


1. Requirements

To use Shopify Flow with Blockify Checkout, you must have:

  • A Shopify store with the Shopify Flow app installed
  • Blockify Checkout installed and activated
  • At least one Blockify feature enabled (Checkout Rule, Checkout Component, etc.)Note: Some triggers (especially analytics-related) may require Shopify Plus due to platform restrictions

2. Setup: Blockify Checkout x Shopify Flow

Step 1: Enable Shopify Flow in Blockify: Fraud Filter
  • From app Blockify: Checkout, click on the tab "Integration" -> click button "Set up" in section "Shopify Flow"

  • To proceed, please install Shopify Flow by clicking the “Install” button
  • Choose "Enable" to Use Shopify Flow to create workflows based on Blockify's events.

3. Setup Shopify Flow:

Step 1: Enable Shopify Flow in Blockify: Fraud Filter
  • From your Shopify admin, go to app "Shopify Flow" and click "Create workflow".

  • Choose your trigger, condition and actions.


3. Example Automation Scenarios

1. Customer accepted Product Offer on the checkout page

Example:

Add an order tag to identify upsell orders created from the checkout page.

  • Trigger: Customer accepted Product Offer on the checkout page
  • Action: Add order tag → blockify_checkout_upsell
  • Why: Helps you track AOV-boosting upsells purchased directly inside checkout.


2. Customer accepted offer on Order Status page

Example

Tag orders that include an OSP post-purchase upsell.

  • Trigger: Customer accepted offer on Order Status page
  • Action: Add order tag → osp_upsell
  • Why: Allows you to track and analyze upsell conversions that happen after checkout.


3. Customer submitted custom field at checkout

**Example **

Tag orders that contain a custom field selection provided during checkout.

  • Trigger: Customer submitted custom field at checkout
  • Action: Add order tag → custom_field_submitted
  • Why: Useful for routing orders that require special handling, such as gift wrap, delivery notes, or wholesale verification.


4. Order created after passing Blockify Rules

Example

Notify your operations team when a customer successfully completes checkout after correcting validation errors.

  • Trigger: Order created after passing Blockify Rules
  • Action: Send Slack/email notification
  • Why: Helps monitor checkout friction and quickly detect rules that may cause customer confusion.
