Pricing

Introduction

The Price List feature lets you create separate pricing tiers for your B2B customers. You can target specific markets, customer segments, or individual customers, and schedule price lists to go live automatically.

Price lists are applied based on priority. If a customer qualifies for multiple lists, the one with the highest priority (lowest number) takes effect. If two lists share the same priority, the more recently created one wins.

Creating a price list

  1. Go to Pricing in the sidebar menu.
  2. Click Create price list.
  3. Fill in the Settings, add your products and pricing rules, and configure Appearance.
  4. Click Save. The entire page is saved at once.

Settings

Name & priority

  • Name: required, max 255 characters, must be unique across all your price lists.
  • Priority: a number from 0 to 99. Lower number = higher priority. Default is 0. When two lists have the same priority, the most recently created list takes effect.

Status & scheduling

The on/off toggle is disabled until the price list is saved. Once saved, the status updates automatically based on your active dates

If you manually turn on a price list whose end date is already in the past, you'll be prompted to update the schedule before it can go live.

Markets

Choose which markets the price list applies to:

  • All markets: Applies to every market in your store.
  • Specific markets: Select individual markets using the modal. If a selected market is later deleted in Shopify, you'll see a warning and must resolve it before saving.

If only one market was selected and it gets deleted in Shopify, the price list cannot be saved until the unknown market is removed. If multiple markets are selected and one is deleted, saving will automatically remove the deleted market.

Customers

Choose who the price list applies to:

Option

Description

All customers

Everyone who visits your store.

Logged-in customers

Customers sign in to their account.

Non-logged-in customers

Customers don't sign in to their account.

Specific customers

Hand-pick individual customers from your Shopify customer list.

Customer tags

Enter one or more tags separated by commas. Any customer with a matching tag will qualify.

If you're using Specific markets alongside a customer segment (logged-in, non-logged-in, specific, or tag), the price list will only apply to customers who belong to both the selected market and the customer segment.

Adding products & pricing rules

Currency

Prices use your store's currency. If your store currency has changed, click the sync icon next to the currency field

Product level and variant level

Before adding products, choose whether to set prices at the product level (one rule per product) or variant level (one rule per variant). Switching between these levels will clear all products you've added, so decide before you start adding items.

Pricing rule options

For each product or variant, choose a pricing rule and enter an amount. The Modified Price column updates as you type.

Rule

How it works

Example (original: $10.00)

Apply a decreasing price

Replaces the original price with the amount you enter. The new price cannot exceed the original.

Enter 7 → $7.00

Decrease a fixed amount

Subtracts a fixed value from the original price. Cannot go below $0.

Enter 3 → $7.00

Decrease in percentage

Subtracts a percentage of the original price. Max 100%.

Enter 20% → $8.00

Apply an increasing price

Replaces the original price with the amount you enter. The new price cannot be lower than the original.

Enter 12 → $12.00

Increase a fixed amount

Adds a fixed value to the original price.

Enter 5 → $15.00

Increase in percentage

Adds a percentage of the original price.

Enter 10% → $11.00

  • Decimal values are supported (use . as the separator, e.g. 1.5).
  • Changing the rule type clears the amount field.
  • If any amount fields are empty when you save, an error will indicate which page(s) contain incomplete rows.

Appearance

Control how the price list price is displayed on your storefront. There are three display modes:

Price list only

Shows only the adjusted price — no original price displayed.

Price list + compare-at price

Shows the adjusted price alongside the compare-at price.

Price list + original price

Shows the adjusted price alongside the original price.

You can also customize the text color for the original/compare-at price and the price list price. Changes are reflected in the preview in real time.
