Introduction to Google Ads Remarketing

Google Ads remarketing tag is a small snippet of code provided by Google Ads that can be added to the website to support the remarketing campaigns. By adding Google Ads remarketing tags to website pages, marketers can effectively track customers' behaviors and interests so that they can show tailored remarketing ads to them during their subsequent visits.

Setting Up Google Ads Remarketing

  • For Old Customer:

Go to GTM & GA4 & Remarketing page -> enable module Google Ads Remarketing:

Go to the setup screen and select the events you want to track (View Content, Add to Cart, Begin Checkout, and Purchase

If you haven’t created a customer event, create one following the instructions, then click Done.






Once the event is created successfully, the system will take you to the following screen



  • For new customer :

Follow the onboarding steps. At Setup Tracking, choose the events to track in the Ads Remarketing column.



Once setup is complete, you can create Google Ads Remarketing.

Check the results on the GTM & GA4 & Remarketing page.


Click Setup All Services to edit your events in the setup screen.
