Smart automation

Introduction

Smart automation gives you a single place to design and automate the entire customer experience, from quote submission through to payment, without having to hunt through multiple settings sections.

How to access

Smart automation is accessible directly from the app homepage. Click Get started in the Smart automation section to open the configuration modal.

Modal

Configuring your automation

When you open the modal, no options are selected by default. Check the boxes for each action you want to enable, review the preview panel to confirm the flow looks right, then click Run automation to activate.

The preview updates in real time as you make selections, so you can see exactly what your customers will experience before committing.

Note: Run automation still can be run if no options are selected - but nothing gonna happen. Also, if you are experience all options are locked, it might be due to your plan, setting conflict (Get instant quote) or a missing email connection.

Available actions

You can separate actions by selecting Default store or B2B store. B2B store is only available in Pro Plus plan

After quote submitted

  1. Auto-response email: Sends a confirmation email to the customer acknowledging their submission. This setting syncs with your main app settings, enabling it here also enables it there, and vice versa. No plan upgrade required.

  1. Export PDF: Delivers the quote as a PDF to the customer immediately after submission, regardless of how your Click button to setting is configured in Quote settings. This action is disabled if you currently have Get instant quote enabled in Quote settings (a banner will explain why).

Requires: Pro plan

  1. Send proposal email: Sends your proposal email to the customer right after submission, again independent of your Click button to configuration. Also disabled when Get instant quote is active in Quote settings.

Requires: Pro plan

After quote accepted

  1. Direct to checkout page When enabled, this automatically turns on proposal email and updates your Accept & Reject settings to route the customer directly to checkout after accepting. The Accept button label will update to Accept accordingly.

Requires: Starter plan

Email connection required

Several actions: auto-response email, send proposal email, and direct to checkout, require a connected email account to work. If you haven't connected one yet, a banner will appear in the modal and the relevant options will be disabled.

The modal includes direct links to configure your Auto-response email and Proposal email settings so you can set them up without leaving your current task.
