Visibility Restrictions – Control Where the Cookie Banner Appears

Introduction

The Visibility Restrictions feature allows you to decide on which pages the Cookie Banner should appear. Instead of showing the banner everywhere, you can configure it to display only on specific pages or exclude certain pages. This gives you more flexibility and ensures a smoother user experience.

Display Options

You can choose one of the following options:

  1. Show on all pages
  • The Cookie Banner will appear on every page of your website.
  • Recommended if you want full GDPR/CCPA compliance without missing any page.
  1. Show only on homepage
  • The Cookie Banner will appear only on the homepage.
  • Ideal if you want to notify visitors upfront while keeping the browsing experience clean on other pages.
  1. Show on all pages except specific pages
  • The Cookie Banner will appear on all pages except the ones you define.
  • Enter the page paths you want to exclude in the input field, for example:/contact, /login
  • Useful for pages like contact forms, login pages, or checkout flows where you don’t want to interrupt the user.

How to Set Up

You can configure Visibility Restrictions directly in your Consentik settings. Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Click on the Behavior tab.
  3. Locate the Visibility Restrictions card.
  4. Select your preferred display option:
  • Show on all pages
  • Show only on homepage
  • Show on all pages except specific paths
  1. If excluding specific pages, enter the paths in the input field.
  • Example: /contact, /login
  1. Click Save to apply your settings.
