AI Onboarding

The AI Onboarding wizard recommends and configures Estimated features based on your store type and a short chat with our AI. It runs the first time you open the app and can be re-launched from the Onboarding entry point.


Step 1: Mode selection


Choose how to set up the app:

  • AI Setup (recommended) — AI asks about your business and recommends a tailored feature set. New badge shown.
  • Manual Setup — skip AI, configure features yourself via the manual flow.

Pick AI Setup to enter the AI flow.



Step 2: Store type


Pick the category that best describes your store. Used as context for the AI's first recommendation:

  • Digital products
  • Handmade / craft
  • Fashion & apparel
  • Food & beverage
  • Electronics
  • Health & beauty
  • Home & garden
  • B2B / wholesale
  • Other — opens a text field to describe your store in your own words.

Click Continue.



Step 3: AI chat


Talk to the AI about your business. Each message refines the recommended feature list shown at the bottom.

  • Chat input — type a question/answer, press Enter to send, Shift+Enter for newline.
  • Quick suggestions — preset prompts shown before your first message. Tap a chip to send it.
  • Suggested features — chips that accumulate as the AI recommends features. A icon marks features that require a higher plan (trial-eligible).
  • Question counter — shows used / limit. When you hit the limit, the input is disabled.
  • Retry — if a request fails, a Retry button appears on the error bubble.
  • Start over — resets the chat and goes back to Store type.
  • Skip — exits the AI flow and falls back to manual setup.

When you're satisfied with the recommended features, click Continue.




Step 4: Feature selection


Review the features the AI recommended, grouped by category.

  • Plan badge — each feature shows the minimum plan (free / standard / pro / plus).
  • Trial features — features above your current plan can be trialed. Limit: 2 trial features per onboarding.
  • Toggle — tap a feature card to select/deselect.
  • Upgrade prompt — if you select features above your plan, an upgrade CTA appears.

Click Continue with at least 1 feature selected.







Step 5: Setup guide


A step-by-step interactive guide for each selected feature. The first feature opens automatically; the rest stay collapsed.

  • Mark as done — completes the current step and auto-opens the next incomplete feature.
  • Progress countercompleted / total shown at the top.
  • Trial banner — appears if any selected feature requires a higher plan, reminding you the trial is temporary.
  • Leave / close — confirmation modal appears if you exit mid-setup.

When all features are marked done, the wizard moves to the Done step.






Step 6: Done


Completion screen.

  • Skipped items — lists any features you selected but didn't mark done.
  • Action items — quick-jump cards to other parts of the app (Rules, Pricing, Translation, etc.).
  • Go to dashboard — closes onboarding and opens the app home.
  • Upgrade plan



After onboarding, a floating AI assistant button stays in the corner of every page so you can resume the checklist or keep chatting with the assistant. It disappears once every selected feature is marked done.
