Checkout date picker position

Benefit:

• Displaying the date picker at checkout provides a seamless and transparent user experience, reduces the need for customers to navigate back to the cart page, and minimizes the risk of incomplete or incorrect order scheduling.
• Allow customers to select an available delivery or pickup date and time slot during the checkout flow, ensuring that all scheduling information is captured before the order is submitted.

How to setup:

Step 1: Navigate to Widget Display > Choose Checkout page

Step 2: Add the Global date picker block on the checkout page

• Click Edit appearance, then go to Add global date picker

• Click Add block, then choose Global date picker

• Some additional settings can be adjusted based on your preference, or you can skip them to keep the default settings:
• • Allow app to block checkout
  • Include block in Shop Pay
  • Show error at the top of the page

Attention:

• Based on Shopify’s limitations and significant logic differences, some features that work on the cart/cart drawer or product page may not work on the checkout date picker.
• To make the checkout process work smoothly and avoid any issues, we recommend creating and using rates through DingDoong instead of Shopify.
