πŸ—“οΈ Dashboard

Dashboard

The Dashboard is your starting point β€” it flags setup warnings, guides first-time configuration, and gives an at-a-glance overview of your order requests.

Available on all plans.

Overview

Before configuring rules in the other tabs, check the Dashboard. It tells you if the app isn't active yet, offers setup guidelines for new merchants, and summarizes orders by method, time, and location.

Before you start

  • DingDoong is installed.

What the Dashboard shows

1. App embed status & warning

If a warning appears, the date picker isn't active yet. Click Embed app to open the theme editor, enable DingDoong, and Save. The widget then appears in the cart for customers.

If your theme doesn't expose a position for the widget, use add a block / manual placement β€” see Ensuring App Compatibility with Your Theme

2. Setup guidelines

New to DingDoong? The guidelines give a step-by-step starting point.

3. Order overview

See order counts per method and how many are fulfilled, so you never miss a deadline. Filter by time (Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days) and track orders by location.

The per-method count starts from when you first installed the app and enabled it in your theme.

Common scenarios

First-time setup

Start here β€” clear the embed warning, then follow the guidelines.

Daily glance

Check Today's counts per method to gauge the day's workload.

Multi-location tracking

Filter the overview by location to see each store's volume.

Tips & Best practices

Treat a Dashboard warning as a "widget is invisible to customers" alert β€” it almost always means the app embed isn't active on your live theme.

For full order operations (status updates, export), use the Order report β€” the Dashboard is the summary view.

Troubleshooting

The warning won't clear?

Make sure you enabled the embed on your live theme and saved in the theme editor.

Counts look low?

Counts begin from install/enable date β€” earlier orders aren't included.

FAQ

Is this the same as the Order report?

No β€” the Dashboard summarizes; the Order report is where you manage and export orders.

Does the Dashboard show revenue analytics?

It shows order counts by method/time/location; for deeper analysis, export from the Order report.
