Data privacy

The Data Retention Policy feature allows merchants to control how long order-related data is stored in the DingDoong database. This helps maintain data privacy, ensures compliance with Shopify and regional privacy requirements, and optimizes system performance by automatically removing outdated records.

Orders older than the selected retention period will be permanently deleted from DingDoong’s database and will no longer appear in the app’s Dashboard or Order Report.

Go to Navigation, select Settings and under the Account **section, click **Data privacy

Select the number of days you want DingDoong to keep your order data.

Default recommendation: 60 days
Other options: 30 days, 90 days, 180 days
