Term

Meaning

Channel (Sales channel)

Destination platform: Facebook, Google, TikTok, Microsoft, Pinterest, Klaviyo.

API feed

Omega pushes products through the platform's native API (only FB and Google support this). Fast sync, no URL refresh needed.

XML feed

Omega generates a URL, you paste it into the platform. The platform fetches it on a schedule. Used for TikTok/MS/Pinterest/Klaviyo.

Variant

A Shopify product variant (size/color/...). 1 product can have many variants.

Sync status

Syncing (in progress) / Synced (done, OK) / Failed (error).

Approval status

Approval status returned by the destination platform: Approved / Pending / Disapproved.

Disapproved

The product reached the catalog but the platform rejected it. You can fix it yourself — see 7.2

Error

The product hasn't reached the catalog because Omega failed to push it. Usually due to a broken account connection or a missing required field — see 7.4.

GTIN

Global Trade Item Number — international barcode standard (UPC/EAN/JAN/ISBN). Google requires it for branded products.

MPN

Manufacturer Part Number — product code issued by the manufacturer. Used when GTIN is unavailable.

GPC (Google Product Category)

Classification by Google Product Taxonomy. Required for GMC.

Custom labels (custom_label_0...4)

5 free-form fields you assign to products to segment Google Ads campaigns (e.g. by margin, by season).

Quota

Plan-based limit: how many products can sync, how many feeds you can create, sync frequency.

Market

A market in Shopify Markets (e.g. US, EU). Each market has its own currency/language.
