Group your Facebook feed into a Product Set

When you sync a feed to Facebook, all your products land in one catalog. Auto create Product Set puts the products from that feed into their own Product Set inside Meta Commerce Manager, so you can target them in an ad campaign without hand-picking items every time.

The option lives on Meta feeds only - under Product settings → Facebook destination.

Turn it on

Tick Auto create Product Set. A Product set name field appears, pre-filled with Product set for <your feed name>.

The set only contains products this feed pushes to the catalog. If the same catalog also receives products from another app or another feed, those items stay out of your set.

When the set actually appears

The set is created after your first sync finishes, not the moment you save. Meta needs to receive and process the products before it will accept a set that points at them.

While that is pending, the checkbox is greyed out and reads "The product set will be created once the feed sync is complete." You do not need to do anything — the app retries on its own until Meta is ready.

Once the set exists, the option is replaced by a Product set: row with a link straight to the set in Commerce Manager.

Troubleshooting

The product set hasn't appeared in Commerce Manager

Check in this order:

  • Has the feed finished syncing? The set is only created at the end of a completed sync run.
  • Does the feed contain any products? Meta refuses a set that matches nothing, so an empty feed produces no set.
  • Wait a few minutes and reload. Meta processes uploaded products asynchronously and the app keeps retrying until it succeeds.

The option came back after I changed my catalog

That is expected. A set belongs to the catalog it was created in, so moving the feed to another catalog leaves the old set behind. Tick the option again to create a new set in the new catalog, and delete the old one in Commerce Manager if you no longer need it.

The option is greyed out

Either your Meta connection has expired — reconnect the account, then reload the page — or a set is already on its way for this feed and the sync has not finished yet.
