How Instant Search Indexing works
The Instant Search Indexing feature helps your store updates appear faster in search engines and AI-powered tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity. Whenever you add a new product, update a description, or publish a blog post, the app automatically notifies search engines — so they can refresh your store’s data without waiting for a long crawl cycle.
Why it matters
Search engines (and the AI assistants that rely on them) need up-to-date information to show your products accurately. Without indexing, it can take days or even weeks before new products or edits appear in search results. With Instant Search Indexing, that process happens automatically in the background.
How it works
- Automatic submission
Every time you publish or update content, Synctrack sends the page details to Bing through a protocol called IndexNow.
Bing is the main data source used by several AI systems, including ChatGPT and Perplexity.
- Faster recognition by AI
Once Bing receives your updates, connected AI assistants can access the latest information about your store, products, and content.
- No manual setup required
Everything runs automatically — you don’t need to enter API keys or manage submissions yourself.
How to check your activity
Open the Instant Search Indexing tab to see your submission history.
You’ll find:
- A line chart showing how often your store was submitted.
- The total number of URLs submitted successfully.
- A button for Manual submission if you want to resend a specific page.
This gives you transparency and control while keeping things automated.
Tips
- You can manually submit a page after big updates (like a new product launch).
- Make sure your store’s pages are public and accessible; private or password-protected pages can’t be indexed.
- There’s no need to resubmit unless you make large-scale content changes.
