How to connect with ShipStation?

Step 1: Obtain shipstation API credentials


  1. Go to https://www.shipstation.com and Sign Up (or Login if you already have an account)
  2. You can select between 2 API services:


I. Shipstation (API V2 Key)



  1. Once logged in, select My profile



  1. Open API settings, select V2 API version and generate API Key




II. Shipstation API (API V1 Key)




  1. After you’re signed in, open your API settings in ShipStation and copy your Sandbox API Key
  • You can use the sandbox key immediately to create test orders with the default carriers that ShipStation provides.



  1. (Optional) Upgrade your ShipStation plan to generate Live API credentials for real shipments.



  1. (Optional) Add more carriers to your ShipStation account in Carriers.

Step 2: Connect ShipStation to Synctrack Returns

  1. In Synctrack Returns, enable Ship with prepaid label:

Settings → Shipping Methods → Ship with prepaid label = On.



  1. Go to Settings → Logistics, then choose ShipStation Integration.



  1. Select the API token you wish to use



  1. Enter your package configuration and paste your ShipStation API token/credentials from Step 1.

  1. Save your settings. You can now create orders using ShipStation directly from Synctrack Returns.
