How to enable Local delivery?

How DingDoong helps you to schedule for local delivery?

Address Validation: A bakery checks if the customer's address is within a 10-mile delivery radius during checkout. If valid, the system proceeds; if not, the customer is informed that delivery isn’t available.
Show Available Dates: The system displays only dates with open delivery slots (e.g., fully booked days are grayed out).
Customer Schedules Delivery: The customer selects an available date for their fresh bread delivery, ensuring it fits both the bakery’s capacity and their schedule.

How to set up?

Step 1. Go to General settings > choose Local delivery validation > choose the one you want to validate customer's eligible address for delivery

Validate by POSTAL/ZIP codes
Validate by maximum radius distance (from your store to customer's address)
No validation

Step 2. Go to Locations > enable Local delivery

When local delivery is enabled > Delivery settings > Set up a scheduling rule for local delivery

Turn on the zone and set up validation for each zone > then scroll down to set up scheduling rule

Outcome

Local delivery with ZIP/POSTAL codes validation

Local delivery with maximum radius distance validation

No validation for local delivery
