How to limit orders?
App's scope:
- DingDoong can help you either limit order per day or per time slot
Order limit per day
When do you need this feature?
- Prevents Overbooking: A florist limits daily orders to 20, ensuring the team isn’t overwhelmed on Valentine’s Day.
- Improves Service Quality: A bakery caps orders at 30 per day, delivering fresh cakes on time without errors.
- Simplifies Operations: A grocery store plans staff shifts and delivery routes efficiently by limiting 50 orders per day.
- Enhances Customer Experience: A customer sees a fully booked date and easily selects the next available one, avoiding frustration.
How to set up?
- Come to any rule method you are offering (Store pickup, delivery, shipping); scroll down to Order limit section > Choose Order limit per day
- When order limit on this day is reached, the day will be blocked on calendar
Order limit per time slot
- Prevents Overbooking: A coffee shop limits pickup to 5 orders per 30-minute slot, avoiding long lines during the morning rush.
- Improves Service Quality: A catering service caps delivery at 3 orders per hour, ensuring each order arrives fresh and on time.
- Simplifies Operations: A florist schedules delivery drivers efficiently by limiting 2 deliveries per time slot.
- Enhances Customer Experience: A customer selects an available time slot for pickup, avoiding delays and ensuring a smooth experience.
How to set up?
- Come to any rule method you are offering (Store pickup, delivery, shipping); scroll down to Order limit section > Choose Order limit per timeslot
- Scroll to each time slot you are having and configure the number of order limit for each
- When order limit on the time slot is reached, the time slot disappears
