How to run AI Access Check
The AI Access Check feature helps you make sure that AI assistants can safely scan and understand your store content. It works by checking your store’s robots.txt file — a small but important file that tells search engines and AI crawlers which pages they’re allowed to visit. If this file blocks AI bots, your store might not appear in AI search results, even if your content is public.
Why this check matters
AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity rely on crawlers to read web content. If they can’t access your store, they can’t learn what you sell or recommend your products to potential buyers. Running an AI Access Check helps confirm that your store is open and ready for AI to read safely.
Step 1: Go to the AI Access Check tab
Open the AI Access Check tab from your app dashboard. You’ll see a short description of what this tool does and a main action button.
Step 2: Run the check
Click the button. The app will analyze your robots.txt file and instantly show your result.
You’ll see a message like: "Robots.txt analyzed successfully. Your store’s AI Visibility Score is 100/100."
A high score means AI crawlers can access your store normally. If the score is lower, some bots may be blocked.
Step 3: Review and recheck as needed
You can run this check anytime, especially after changing themes or installing apps that might affect SEO settings. Synctrack automatically rechecks your store on a regular schedule, so most merchants don’t need to do it manually.
