Mapping Field

Mapping fields

Omega Feed allows you to map Shopify fields to corresponding channel fields (such as Google Merchant Center, Meta/Facebook, etc.). This ensures your product data is properly formatted, compliant, and correctly synced across all advertising platforms.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Setup Guide

Step 1: Getting Started

  1. Open your feed setup configuration
  2. Navigate to the Mapping fields tab.

Step 2 — Filtering & Finding Attributes

Use the filter tools at the top to navigate your product attributes efficiently:

  • Search Bar: Search directly for any target attribute by name (e.g., id, title, brand).

  • Filter Tabs:
    • All: Displays all available channel attributes that can be mapped.
    • Required: Shows mandatory attributes required by the target channel (marked with a red asterisk *).
    • Mapped: Displays attributes that currently have assigned Shopify values.
    • Unmapped: Lists attributes that do not have any assigned values yet.

Step 3 — Configuring Field Mapping

The mapping table is structured into three main columns:

1. Attributes

Lists the standard fields required or supported by the target channel (e.g., Title, Description, Gender, Condition).

2. Shopify Value

Assigns product data from Shopify to the corresponding channel attribute:

  • Click the field box to open the dropdown menu.
  • Search and select one or multiple Shopify tags/variables (e.g., combine Product title + Variant title).
  • Enter static text manually or insert custom variables if needed.

3. Preview

Displays a live dynamic preview of how the mapped data will look in your product feed, helping you verify accurate output before saving.

3. Action & Status Controls:

  • + Add: Click to include an unmapped attribute in your feed.
  • Added Badge: Indicates the attribute is currently included in the feed setup.
  • Trash Icon (Delete): Click to remove the attribute mapping from your feed.

Step 4 — Save & Sync

  1. Click Save in the top bar to apply your configuration changes.
  2. In the Feed updated successfully popup, choose your synchronization preference:
    • Sync now: Triggers an immediate resync to update channel product data right away.
    • Wait for next sync: Keeps changes saved and applies them during the next scheduled automatic sync.
