Omega Google Ads: Settings page
What is Settings?
Settings is where you turn tracking on or off and configure how the app works, all in one place. It is organized into three tabs:
- General: app status, storefront embed, consent, connected Google accounts, and reporting timezone.

- Tracking: Shop Pay tracking, custom events, ROI Optimization, and multi-market tracking.

- Exploration: scheduled email reports, Shopify Flow integrations, and other Omega apps.

Saving your changes
The whole page works like a single form:
- As soon as you change anything, Save and Discard become active.
- Save applies all your changes at once. Discard reverts everything back to the last saved values.
- Switching tabs does not lose changes you have not saved yet, so you can edit across tabs and save once.
- If you try to leave the page with unsaved changes, the app warns you first.
Some changes are treated carefully: turning the app off, or disconnecting a Google account, asks you to confirm before it takes effect.
General tab
App status (master switch)
Turns all Omega Google Ads tracking on or off for your store. When it is off, no conversions are sent to Google Ads, GA4, or GTM.
Because turning it off stops your tracking, the app shows a confirmation ("Disable Omega Google Ads, GA4 & GTM") before staging the change, and it only actually takes effect after you click Save. Turning it back on does not need confirmation.

Storefront Embed
The app embed runs in your live theme to capture the Google Click ID (GCLID), which links each order back to the exact Google ad that drove it. Without it, conversions cannot be matched to ad clicks.
The app detects this automatically and shows Enabled or Not enabled. If it is not enabled, use the button to open your Shopify theme editor and switch the embed on.

GDPR / CCPA Consent Banners
Shows your consent status as Active. This is read-only here: visitors in privacy-regulated regions who decline the consent banner are not tracked, and you do not toggle this from Settings (it is managed through Consent Mode v2).

Connected Google accounts
Lists the Google accounts connected for uploading conversions. You can:
- Connect another: add a Google account through Google sign-in.
- Disconnect: remove an account. This always asks you to confirm ("Disconnect this Google account?"), because disconnecting pauses all conversion tracking linked to that account.
You can connect as many Google accounts as you need, on any plan.

Reporting Timezone
The timezone used to display your reports. It defaults to your Shopify store's timezone at the time you installed the app. Changing it applies from that point forward and does not change past data.

Tracking tab
Shop Pay Tracking
Shows Accelerated Tracking as Active, plus the Shop Pay events the app is capturing (a read-only list, for example checkout_shipping_info_submitted, payment_info_submitted, checkout_completed). Shop Pay and third-party checkouts happen outside your theme and are easy to miss, so the app recovers these events and sends them to GA4 and Google Ads automatically, with no extra setup. Use Shop Pay & third-party gateway tracking docs to learn more.

Custom Events
Shows the custom events the app can configure for your store, each marked Configured or Not Configured (for example Lead, Request a Quote, First-time Customer Purchase, Returning Customer Purchase). These are set up by the Omega team, not toggled by you. To configure a "Not Configured" event, or to add a new one, use Contact support and the team will set it up for you.

ROI Optimization
An entry point to the ROI Optimization screen, with a badge showing your overall status (for example "Needs Improvement"). Use Continue setup to open it.
Multi-market Tracking
Links each of your Shopify markets to the Google Ads account running its campaigns, so conversions route to the right account. A badge shows Unified (one shared configuration for all markets) or Regional (per-market configuration), along with each market and its assigned Google account. Use Manage markets to open Market & Events.
The number of custom markets you can configure depends on your plan: Free uses Global only, Professional allows up to 2 custom markets, and Enterprise up to 8.
Exploration tab
Integrations (Shopify Flow)
The app plugs into Shopify Flow so you can trigger automations from your tracking data. This section shows the ready-made flow templates the app provides (for example "Retry failed Google Ads conversions", "Tag high-value order"). Click a template to open it directly in Shopify Flow, or Learn more to see the app listing.
Omega Ecosystem apps
A list of other Omega apps to extend your tracking and marketing (for example TikTok, Facebook/Meta, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Pinterest), each marked Installed or Not installed with a link to the Shopify App Store.
Frequently asked questions
- What happens when I turn off the app? No conversions are sent to Google Ads, GA4, or GTM until you turn it back on. The app asks you to confirm, and the change only applies after you click Save.
- I disconnected a Google account by mistake. What happens? Conversion tracking linked to that account is paused. Reconnect the account to resume it.
- Why can't I toggle the consent banner here? Consent is managed through Consent Mode v2. Settings only shows its status (Active).
- Can I turn individual Shop Pay or custom events on and off? No. Shop Pay events are shown read-only, and custom events are configured by the Omega team via Contact support*.*
