Omega Google Ads: Signal Quality
What is Signal Quality?
- Signal Quality measures how well your store captures conversion data and delivers it to Google Ads. Google can only optimize your campaigns as well as the data it receives, so a stronger signal means more accurate attribution and better Smart Bidding.
- You will find it on the Signal Quality tab in Business Insights. It is available on all plans, including Free.

Your Signal Health Score
- At the top you get an overall Signal Health score from 0 to 100, with a grade and a label.
- The score is a weighted blend of your three coverage metrics:
Score | Grade | Label |
|---|---|---|
90–100 | A | Excellent |
80–89 | B+ | Good |
70–79 | B | Good |
55–69 | C | Fair |
below 55 | D | Poor |
- Under the score you will also see a trend note explaining recent movement, for example: "Score improved from 74 to 81 after enabling Enhanced Conversions on Jun 12."
- If your store has never run a Signal Quality scan, the score is empty and shows "Not yet checked" instead of a default score.
The Three Coverage Metrics
The three coverage measures appear as progress bars inside the score card (not as separate cards). Each shows a percentage and a change (delta) versus the previous period.
1. Click ID (GCLID) coverage
- What it measures: of the orders Trakpilot tracked, the share that captured a Google click ID (GCLID), the tag that links an order back to the ad click.
- Why it matters: the click ID is how Google credits a sale to the exact ad, keyword, and campaign. Orders without it are much harder to attribute.
- Weight in score: 40%.
2. Enhanced Conversion (EC) data coverage
- What it measures: of your Purchase conversions, the share Trakpilot sent to Google with at least one customer identifier (email, phone, or address) for Enhanced Conversions.
- Why it matters: Google matches this hashed first-party data to its logged-in users to recover conversions that a missing click ID or cookie loss would otherwise hide.
- Note: this measures what Trakpilot sent, not what Google confirmed as matched.
- Weight in score: 35%.
3. Attribution window coverage
- What it measures: of your orders that have a click ID, the share whose purchase happened within the attribution window of the ad click.
- The window is a fixed 30 days. It is set by the app, is not read from your Google Ads settings, and cannot be changed.
- Note: this is most accurate for new orders. Orders whose click timestamp was not captured are counted as outside the window.
- Weight in score: 25%.
Recommendations
- When a coverage area is too low, Signal Quality lists recommendations to fix it. Each one has:
Part | What it is |
|---|---|
Severity | Critical, Warning, or Info. Fix Critical first. |
Headline | A short summary of the issue. |
Detail | The impact in plain terms, for example "22% of tracked orders are at risk of not being attributed". |
Action button | A deep link that takes you straight to where you fix it. |
- Recommendations are triggered when a coverage metric falls below its healthy level (for example, Click ID coverage below 70% or Enhanced Conversion coverage below 50% raises a Critical item; attribution window coverage below 80% raises a Warning).
- Some recommendations include an estimated impact as a percentage, for example "Improving EC data coverage to 85% could recover ~12% more attributed conversions." Dollar figures are not shown in this version.
- The number of Critical items is also what feeds the "needs attention" signal in your weekly and monthly reports.
Conversion lag
- Below the trend chart, the Conversion lag card shows how long after the first ad click your orders actually happen, so you can judge your attribution window and remarketing timing. It splits orders that have a click ID into six buckets:
Same day · 1–3 days · 4–7 days · 8–14 days · 15–30 days · over 30 days
- Each bucket shows a count and its share of orders with a click ID. The header shows the total number of orders with a click ID, and a footer note summarizes it automatically, for example: "82% of conversions happen within 7 days, your 30-day attribution window captures 100% of this store's conversions."
- If there is no click ID data yet, the card shows: "No click ID data yet, enable auto-tagging to see conversion lag."

How to read and improve your score
- Read your score, grade, and label for the headline.
- Check the three coverage bars and their deltas to see what is trending down.
- Open the recommendations and clear Critical ones first, using each action button.
- Return later; the trend note will show your improvement, and the score rises as your weighted coverage improves.
Special states
- Google Ads not connected. You will see a prompt to connect your Google Ads account before signal data can be shown.
- No orders in the selected range. The score shows "—" and the charts show an empty state.
- Strong score (A, 90+). No recommendations are shown, since there is nothing to fix.
- Poor score (below 55). A "your signal quality needs attention" banner appears at the top of the page.
Frequently asked questions
- How is the score calculated? It is a weighted blend of your three coverage metrics: Click ID coverage (40%), Enhanced Conversion coverage (35%), and Attribution window coverage (25%).
- What is a good score? 90+ is Excellent (A), 80–89 Good (B+), 70–79 Good (B), 55–69 Fair (C), below 55 Poor (D). Clearing Critical recommendations is the fastest way to raise it.
- How long is the attribution window? A fixed 30 days. It is set by the app, not by your Google Ads settings, and cannot be changed.
- What is the difference between Click ID coverage and Enhanced Conversion coverage? Click ID coverage is about capturing the ad-click tag on an order. Enhanced Conversion coverage is about sending hashed customer data so Google can still match a sale when the click ID is missing. Enhanced Conversion coverage reflects what was sent, not what Google confirmed as matched.
- Why does my score show "—"? Either your Google Ads account is not connected, or there are no orders in the selected date range. Connect Google Ads or widen the range to see your score.
