Pareto - Order Limit Quantity FAQs
1. My custom code or app isn't working on my new theme. What should I do?
Our technical team can help you with this. To help us assist you better, please include your store collaboration code so that we can send you the request to access apps and themes
2. Can I automatically add products to the app for limit rules, for example, via import or using tags/collections?
Yes, the app supports setting up limits based on product tags or collections. You can import products as regular Shopify products, and then update them within the app. This allows you to create one rule for many products that share the same limit level, saving time compared to setting up each product individually
3. Why do I get a "data duplicated" error when reinstalling the app or trying to save a rule?
We can resolve this by clearing data on their system to avoid the error when reinstalling the app. When saving a rule, it might be the issue that you set up the rule for this product already
4. The MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) is displayed on the product page, but customers can still change the quantity in the cart or checkout, or complete the purchase below the MOQ. How can this be prevented?
If the cart page or cart drawer isn't working, it's because the structures of different themes vary, and it needs to customize each theme individually. We need to assign a developer to check this. To block purchases on the checkout page, you would need to upgrade the app plan.
5. My order limit rules are not being enforced, and customers can order less than the set minimum quantity
- First, ensure the rule is activated and not in "draft" mode.
- Second, check if the app is embed.
- Third, check if this setting "Check limit on product page" is enabled.
- To achieve the best results in preventing orders below the MOQ, we recommend upgrading to our paid plan
6. Can the app enforce a minimum total cart value, rather than a minimum per individual item?
Yes, the app can be configured to enforce a minimum spend for the total cart value. It will check this limit on the cart page and block the checkout if the minimum is not met.
7. How does the app identify customers for repeat orders (e.g., based on IP address or email)?
The app validates based on each order, not necessarily on previous purchase history for repeat customers. You can set limits based on customer IP addresses; if a customer uses a specified IP, the limit will apply to their orders.
8. The quantity selector or other elements on my product page appear distorted or enlarged after installing the app.
This issue often arises with complex themes where the app's default settings cannot correctly position the error messages. The support team may need to manually adjust the CSS in your theme to properly display messages and correct the appearance of the quantity box. To help us assist you better, please include your store collaboration code so that we can send you the request to access apps and themes
9. The minimum order message or other alert texts are not displaying correctly, are cut off, or are invisible.
Our technical team can apply custom CSS to ensure the text appears correctly (e.g., in black color if it's blending with the background). They can also adjust the display of text on the cart page to prevent it from being cut off. If no message is showing at all, it might be because the "limit box" display option has been intentionally hidden
10. Can I customize where the limit message appears (e.g., only on the cart page, not on the product page)?
Yes, it is possible to configure the app to only show the message on the cart page and hide it from the product page or collection page. However, our technical team needs to customize for you and this customization is available only on paid plans
11. The app's display is not working correctly on mobile devices.
Issues such as distorted text or non-functional buttons on mobile can occur. The development team can work on customizing the display specifically for mobile versions to resolve these problems
12. Is it possible to have the quantity field on the product page automatically populate with the set minimum limit?
Yes, you can go to Settings then select "Set default quantity to minimum" option or the support team can configure this setting. Once applied, the quantity input field on your product pages will automatically default to the minimum order quantity you have set for that product
13. Can I set a minimum order quantity for a mixture of products (e.g., a total number of items from different variants/styles) rather than individual items?
Yes, the app can typically enforce minimums for a total quantity of items in the cart, allowing customers to mix and match different varieties to reach the minimum (e.g., 6 bottles of any beer type). However, if you require a minimum quantity per specific product (style) rather than just a total count of all items in the cart, this might be a limitation that the app does not currently support out-of-the-box
14. Can I hide the app's branding/trademark from my store?
Yes, our support team can assist you in removing the app's branding or trademark from your site
15. Does the app work with third-party cart applications (e.g., Monster Cart, Ajax cart drawers)?
Integration with third-party cart applications, such as Monster Cart, for displaying messages might require specific adjustments, and the support team can investigate these scenarios. If a cart drawer is an iframe embedded from another website, the app might not natively support it, and a solution may require coordination with the cart drawer provider. The app's primary function is validation on the checkout page, where it can block orders if rules are not met
16. Which features are available on different pricing plans (e.g., Free vs. Basic vs. Paid/Higher Plans)?
Different features are associated with various plans:
- Checkout page message display and validation: This often requires an upgrade to a paid plan.
- Collection page limit checks: This functionality is typically available in higher-tier plans.
- Custom display and message placement: Complex customizations for how and where messages appear might be considered paid features.
- Preventing quantity adjustment in the cart for MOQ items: This specific functionality may also require an upgrade to a paid plan.
- The feature to disable the checkout button is available starting from the Basic plan.
- Note that certain discounts (e.g., on yearly plans) may be offered for higher tiers
